Akon !?!? 'Trouble' indeed!*

Monday, April 23, 2007 1:32:42 PM (GMT Standard Time, UTC+00:00)

Ref: Front of Akon's album, Trouble. Yea, I like a couple of Akon's tracks, especially Lonely, Locked up, Pot of Gold and more recently, Don't Matter. However Akon's actions in a Trinidadian night club as can be seen here have me a bit worried.. I never thought of him as this type of 'artist' and now it seems I have to add him to the category with Elephant man, Mr. Rick and the rest.

But the strangest part of this isn't really with Akon but it's that: 1. The girl is 14 years old; 2. Her father is a Pastor; and 3. Her father seems to be "cool" with his 14-year-old daughter going to a club and participating in dance competitions (I deduce this from a comment the father made i.e. "She likes dancing and won a competition," (Ref)). I don't know... this story sounds a bit incomplete, ah well.. this is another example of the "uses" of YouTube and sites like it (the story appeared first on youtube a day after the incident).

Iraq / Today.. "Three suicide bombers launched attacks in different parts of
Iraq on Monday, killing at least 27 people and wounding nearly 60 on Monday, police and politicians said." (Yahoo!)
