Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn) released*

Thursday, April 19, 2007 1:06:35 PM (GMT Standard Time, UTC+00:00)

Little under a week running Ubuntu and a new version (Feisty Fawn) is out for me to download/install! So far my experiences with Ubuntu have been good more than bad.. getting accustomed to the (cmd line) commands is probably the hardest task.. but the simplicity of finding and installing software matched with the appealing GUI and the "OS freeness" make up for it!

Anyway! So today, Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn) is released and unless I hear something horrid about it, I'll try to have it on by Saturday. Right now as I read a digg post, I'm seeing that servers are overloaded with hits to download the OS! My my.. it is really popular! I hope the upgrading process (from version 6.10, that I have, to 7.04) is (a) existent and (b) smooth! I'd dislike to think I would have to format and do a fresh install... not after all that configuration I've done!! We'll see though, we'll see!

Ah, and if you want the download link (torrent) my bud at tech-barbados found it. So you can check that out.
