Research Assistant in Cybersecurity -- Department of Computer Science, The University of Oxford (UK) [2011-Present] &
Research Fellow -- Department of Psychology, The University of Warwick (UK) [2011-Present]

Currently, I have two roles, a Research Assistant in Cybersecurity in Oxford's Computer Science Department and a Research Fellow (and affiliate member in the Centre for Cognitive and Neural Systems (CCNS)) in Warwick's Psychology Department. Both of these roles directly support the research in the EPSRC-and TSB-funded TEASE (Trust Enabling Augmented-Reality Support for Information-Environments) project. This project researches the delivery of information-provenance and integrity support for use in information mash-ups through the design of augmented-reality overlays. These overlays are to be optimised for human cognition (perception, reasoning and decision-making), in order to facilitate understanding and build trust.

Professionally, there are many fields in which I have research interests. These include, Information Security, Trust, Risk Management, E-Business and E-Commerce services, Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA) and Web services' use in business, Web application/systems design and development, Human aspects in Security (HCISec, HCI-S), Security Usability, Cognitive Science (particularly in terms of risk, risk perception and decision-making) and Augmented Reality. I also have interest in e-Learning, particularly as it relates to SOAs. To accommodate and further some of the interests above, I serve on the programme committees for the International Conference on Internet and Web Applications and Services (ICIW) and International Conference on Internet Monitoring and Protection (ICIMP).

PhD in Department of Computer Science at The University of Warwick (UK) [2007-2010]

Abstract - Security within the Web services technology field is a complex and very topical issue. When considering using this technology suite to support interacting e-businesses, literature has shown that the challenge of achieving security becomes even more elusive. This is particularly true with regard to attaining a level of security beyond just applying technologies, that is trusted, endorsed and practiced by all parties involved. Attempting to address these problems, this research proposes BOF4WSS, a Business-Oriented Framework for enhancing Web Services Security in e-business. The novelty and importance of BOF4WSS is its emphasis on a tool-supported development methodology, in which collaborating e-businesses could achieve an enhanced and more comprehensive security and trust solution for their services interactions.
